88.7 myFM, the only AC station in Kingston, ON, launched in 2007 is an Adult Contemporary station based in Southeastern town of Greater Napanee and owned by My Broadcasting Corporation. On Nov 21, 2006 CRTC approved My Broadcasting to set up a Class B English language FM station at Napanee. The soon to be launched channel would broadcast on a frequency of 88.7 MHz using a 5,000-trasmitter initially. It was proposed the myFM would dedicate at least two hours to content in Aboriginal languages. 88.7 myFM singed on air on Sep 13, 2007 from its studios at 20 Market Square. My Broadcasting Corp. owned by Jon Pole and Andrew Dickson was already owing four stations before the opening of CKYM-FM.
