CKDO-FM-1 is a rebroadcast transmitter of CKDO 1580 AM operating in Oshawa, ON. Durham Radio Inc. was allowed to setup the booster transmitter on Aug 20, 2004 by CRTC. The FM transmitter was launched on March 30, 2005 to recover the transmission gaps during nighttime. This would successfully serve the purpose in Whitby, Oshawa and Ajax. 107.7 MHz was the frequency and the radio would air using a 250 watt-transmitter. The main channel 1580 AM CKDO earlier active on 1350 AM spent sometime on 107.7 MHz before setting on 1580 kHz in 2006. The commission on Feb 23, 2007 approved the increment in wattage to 665 w; the increase would lessen the interference produced by US-based WLKK-FM in Weathersfield, NY. Durham’s Classic Hits is the slogan.
