Easy 101 FM launched on Oct 1, 1965 legally remembered as CKOT-FM is an Easy Listening radio owned by Tillsonburg Broadcasting Company. John B. Lamers of the famous Lamers family received the approval of CRTC for an FM station that it applied via Tillsonburg Broadcasting Co. Ltd. Originally chosen 106.7 MHz was changed to 100.5 MHz upon the launch and 1,135 watts was ERP of transmitter. Simulcasting the content of CKOT-AM, the channel expanded local programs as the space was already available due to the closed status of CKOT-AM at sunset.

In 1970 the content of the station was separated when it chose Music while the Am sibling went on for news and community info. The frequency was flipped to 101.3 MHz and wattage was increased to 50,000 watts in Dec 1974. CRTC validated the license of Easy 101 in 1979 for another five years. Bob Lamers Jr. became the GM at both FM and AM stations. Effective control in 1996 was transferred to John D. Lamers after gaining 50.3% share in ownership. CKOT-AM was closed on Feb 17, 2013.
Tillsonburg Broadcasting on Sep 27, 2016 announced the sale of its stations to Rogers Media which marked a beginning to the end of is 50 year old local ownership. On Nov 16 2010 CRTC renewed the license of the station until Aug 31, 2014.
