ICI Musique 100.9 FM aka CBJX-FM is a Saguenay based CBC radio established in 1974 as CBJ-FM. Upon the shifting of CBJ 1580 AM to FM; the calls of CBJ Chicoutimi were rearranged as CBJX-FM in 1998. A transmitter at Dolbeau-Mistassini was permitted by CRTC in 2002; frequency and ERP would be 90.9 MHz and 37,200 w. The long-adopted branding La chaîne culturelle was rephrased as Espace Musique in Sep 2004. Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission updated the license of the channel in May 2013 to Aug 2018. Commercial advertising for the station was denied by Canadian Comission in Aug 2016 because of the failures in terms of revenue projections.
