It plays old music (oldies) from 60s and 70s, also with hourly local news, talk shows, road shows and sports transmission. Northsound 2 broadcasts also weekly programmes of traditional Scottish music, weekend religious shows and soul on Sunday evenings. It was established in July 27, 1981.
