660 News aka CFFR is a round the clock All News format AM radio launched on January 10, 1984 in Calgary, Alberta. 660 News is the brand name of the channel broadcasting from 7th Avenue Southwest, downtown Calgary. Calgary’s Only 24/7 All News Radio is the slogan of the 660 CFFR. Before turning to the news and current affairs format the station broadcasted oldies and classical stuff form 60s, 70s, 80s under the name of 66CFR which stood for Calgary Family Radio. The call-sign was later read Calgary Flames Radio when the channel was relaunched and sports programming was taken by CFAC.
